Major League Baseball Features 16 Games on Tuesday for Sports Betting Fans

Tuesday’s foray into online sports betting begins with an exciting pair of games scheduled for a doubleheader between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox, in a clash of AL East teams at Fenway Park. Wasting no time today getting into the betting lines at the top sportsbook at, I’m looking over the second game of this series for potential wagers, as the first game is underway early in the afternoon on the east coast featuring a great pitching duel between James Shields and Jon Lester. However, with focus on the later game today between Tampa Bay and Boston, I’m looking to pick up some leverage at by hopefully scoring a win with a wager on the second game featuring a pitching match-up between Jeff Niemann (7-4, 3.43 ERA) and Erik Bedard (4-7, 3.55 ERA). At home, Bedard gets -152 odds at WagerWeb sportsbook, and Boston gives up 1.5 runs at +140. I for one like Tampa Bay’s odds today, especially as they are riding a hot streak heading into Boston (7-3 in their last 10), and Niemann’s last outing against Boston found him going 8 scoreless innings of 2-hit ball in a 1-0 loss at home in Tampa Bay. As Niemann looks for redemption in Game 2 of the doubleheader tonight, I’ll put the first bet down on Tampa to win with +132 odds.

Onto more options for betting on baseball today, catch a quality NL pitching match-up between Yovani Gallardo and Chad Billingsley as the Milwaukee Brewers host the Los Angeles Dodgers. Milwaukee is one of the hottest teams in the league, has the best home record in baseball, and rides a 4-game winning streak into tonight’s game, while Billingsley has struggled a bit lately and Los Angeles finds itself pretty much out of contention for the playoffs heading into this week’s series. Ivan Nova for the New York Yankees continues to be a good wager as of late, getting tons of run support regardless of the match-up, and even with -115 odds on the point spread at 1.5 runs against Kansas City, this could be a nice pick up wager to chase today. I continue to post bets against the rookie pitchers of the Los Angeles Angels and get rewarded for it, as was the case in last night’s 8-4 win for Texas over Los Angeles, and today you can catch another opportunity to take advantage of a surging Rangers pitching rotation as Derek Holland faces Tyler Chatwood. With Chatwood prone to giving up plenty of runs, watch for the Rangers bats to come alive again tonight in Anaheim.

Catch a whole host of other options for betting on Major League Baseball this evening, with plenty of crucial series getting underway on Tuesday, and a continuation of solid match-ups continuing on today. Of note, check out the Atlanta Braves who seek another win at home against the San Francisco Giants, the Philadelphia Phillies hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks in a battle of divisional leaders (our featured match-up of the day), and an AL Central clash between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox as Ubaldo Jimenez and Gavin Floyd duke it out at U.S Cellular Field in Chicago. Make sure to check into WagerWeb Sportsbook or any of the other top sports betting destinations reviewed here, place a few wagers, and come out a winner today.
