Bring on More NFL Preseason Games, MLB Baseball for Betting on Sports!

Sports betting action on Friday is always a great way to supplement the goings on of any weekend, and with 6 exciting NFL preseason games, and a multitude of Major League Baseball on deck for Friday’s foray into online sportsbook betting, it’s a perfect time for some quick betting on sports this afternoon, and I for one have prepared to spread around a handful of wagers encompassing most of the games taking place later on today and this evening. With one of the most exciting looks happening today in the NFL, catch early evening games including the Washington Redskins vs. Indianapolis Colts, the Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins hosting the Carolina Panthers, and the Baltimore Ravens readying up for the Kansas City Chiefs to come to town. For the two later games on the day, look out for the Green Bay Packers bringing in the Arizona Cardinals and the Atlanta Falcons heading to Jacksonville for a battle with the Jaguars. No doubt with teams gearing up more starters for Week 2 action in the NFL preseason, games will become a bit easier to wager on once you are able to pair two starting units against one another with the best on the field for both sides. Add in the 15 games available for sportsbook bets on the Major League Baseball calendar today and there’s opportunity abound for getting into the action at one of the top sportsbooks reviewed here.

In the games for Major League Baseball scheduled for this evening, I for one am hoping to capitalize on a few solid mismatches once again, starting first with the match-up in Tampa Bay as the Rays host the Seattle Mariners. While there’s few times I would ever suggest wagering on the Mariners (as a lifelong Mariners fan has to sorely admit), Felix Hernandez makes the start at Tampa Bay against Wade Davis, who last outing against the Mariners resulted in 5 runs allowed in 7 innings. To the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners are dead last in almost every major batting category there is. King Felix Hernandez may be one of only a few bright spots remaining for the Mariners this year, and coming off a tough outing against Boston and getting a win, he’ll be up for another Felix-like outing tonight in South Florida. Switching to another interesting AL match-up, look for the Toronto Blue Jays at Oakland Athletics, with two fairly inconsistent pitchers in Rich Harden for the A’s, and Brett Cecil in opposition for the Blue Jays. Though the odds favor Oakland at home, Toronto has been the better team at generating runs during their recent 3-game winning streak, and with two questionable pitchers and an Oakland batting order that certainly will have trouble keeping pace with the Blue Jay’s tonight, look for Toronto to prevail this evening in a high-scoring affair. Other interesting American League match-ups include the start of a weekend series between AL Central foes as Cleveland visits Detroit with the AL Central lead on the line, an interesting match-up between the Chicago White Sox and the Texas Rangers as they begin another weekend series, and the Los Angeles Angels against Baltimore Orioles, with a lopsided match-up on the mound with Dan Haren (12-6, 2.95 ERA) vs. Jo-Jo Reyes (6-9, 5.30 ERA).

To round out the great choices for online sports betting on Major League Baseball, look for a solid match-up between the Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks, as Daniel Hudson seeks to right the steaming ship of the NL West-leading Dbacks (7-3 in their last ten, but losers of 2 straight) against Atlanta’s Derek Lowe. Lowe appears to be feeling the effects of the 150 innings he’s thrown this season, looking less effective each time to the mound to the tune of a 7.88 ERA in the month of August (1-2). I like Daniel Hudson to come out a little better tonight on the road, and hope that the Diamonbacks will be able to put up runs early and often before the solid Atlanta pen shuts down the game. Sticking with another NL West team tonight, I’m still not giving up on Hiroki Kuroda to be a good wager from time to time, even if his Los Angeles Dodgers always seem to let him down. At Colorado, facing Jason Hammel, I expect Kuroda to outduel the Rockies’ starter and earn the Dodgers a tie for glorious 3rd place in the NL West. Check out the Philadelphia Phillies vs. Washington Nationals, the New York Mets hosting the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates for other good MLB wagering possibilities this evening at sportsbook. Between MLB Baseball and NFL Exhibition Football, enjoy a fun night of sports, enjoy your time off this weekend, and thanks again for choosing the best online sportsbooks reviewed right here at!
