Get Those Bets Ready…NCAA Football Kicks Off Thursday, September 1st!

While the coming NFL season is certain to provide the most action for online sports betting this fall and winter, it can be said that NCAA Football is the most exciting for sports fans to watch on a weekly basis. As we witness the great college rivalries flare up once again, the massive stadiums fill to the brim with tens of thousands of screaming fans and students, and get to see the up-and-coming stars in the NFL play out their glory days for their schools, no doubt this truly is one of the best times of the year to be a football fan! With that said, it’s finally start to get this new season off and running with a bang, and now that the opening week of College Football competition is upon us, it’s time to dive into the options for online sports betting on NCAA Football in order to secure some early betting lines for the first night of competition set for Thursday, September 1st. 15 games provide the spark next Thursday for the start of the 2011 NCAA campaign before Saturday’s fleet of 58 games gets underway with huge match-ups between some of the biggest teams in College Football. Though I can’t wait to jump into some wagers on the Saturday Top 25 match-ups (including namely #3 Oregon vs. #4 LSU and #5 Boise State vs. #19 Georgia which will be the biggest non-conference match-ups on the day), we’ll take today and this weekend as an opportunity to check out some of the lesser known teams, and some of the bigger mismatches set for Day 1 of competition on Thursday, in the hopes of scoring some early cash at one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here.

Starting off the wagering for NCAA games next Thursday, as always pick out the odds for the Top 25 teams set to kick off the season, as #11 Wisconsin takes on UNLV, and #20 Mississippi State challenges Memphis. It’s always funny to see the lines for mismatches like these, however they can still be profitable even with a seemingly massive points spread set for the games. The Wisconsin Badgers start us out as a 35 point favorite at -110 at the Betonline Sportsbook, at home at Camp Randall, and will look to start the season out with a bang after losing to TCU in last years’ Rose Bowl despite an impressive 11-1 season record in 2010. All eyes will be on the Badgers new starting QB Russell Wilson, who is an exciting addition to the powerful offense that finished 5th in the nation in scoring last year. Even more important is the Wisconsin rushing attack, which should see a lot of action next Thursday as Wilson tries to feel out the new offense (he’s only had 1 month with the team since transferring from N.C. State). UNLV on the other hand is improving as well, with a full-on team rebuilding happening under head coach Bobby Hauck. At 2-11 last year, including a 41-21 loss to Wisconsin, there is no where really to go but up, and in this match-up on the road, I expect the Runnin’ Rebels to at least cover the 35 points while Wisconsin syncs up its new offensive leader in Russell Wilson with a host of new complimentary players.

Checking out another team with big potential this year, 20th ranked Mississippi State should be worth a look in their lopsided match-up against Memphis, where the Bulldogs get a 27 1/2 point favorite over the Tigers. Slightly surprising is the fact that MSU was ranked 10th out of 12 teams in the SEC in scoring last season, is rebuilding the offensive line, and has had troubles with passing behind QB Chris Relf (58.6 percent completion rate last season). Though Memphis isn’t much of an opponent for Mississippi State, who figures to be in the Top 25 throughout the season, with two sides still working on their offenses, and MSU likely to shut down Memphis on defense, the under wager at 50 points starts to look pretty good for an opening day pick. Make sure to sift through the other games aside for the ones featuring Top 25 teams next Thursday, as there’s plenty of options and opportunities to cash in on big mismatches, and take advantage of the over/under as veteran units hit the ground running and rebuilt teams struggle to find their footing on the first day of the 2011 NCAA Football campaign. It’s worth checking out teams like Louisville (against Murray State), who should challenge Connecticut (also playing Thursday) and Cincinnati for the title in the weaker Big East Conference this season, as well as Utah (vs. Montana State) and Arizona State (vs. UC Davis) who both play in the newly sectioned Pac-12 South, as these teams should be ones to watch in the upcoming season. No doubt that with 15 games to start off the opening day of the 2011 NCAA College Football campaign, you’ll be able to find a couple worthwhile wagers to get the year started off right, so join me at one of the top sports betting websites reviewed here and jump into the early action right now!

MLB Baseball, NFL Football Offer Best Bets for Sportsbook Action

Ah, how the weekends are such a wonderful change of pace from the dreary, dragging work week! This Friday, there’s plenty of excitement in the air for sports fans, as the 2011 NCAA Football season gets set to begin next Thursday, the NFL preseason is quickly moving forward with regular season competition just around the corner, and with only about 30 games left in play for Major League Baseball, the coming of the 2011 MLB Playoffs is certain to bring plenty more exciting action to online sports betting on MLB Baseball in the weeks leading up to October. With all these great sports available, plus the additions of NASCAR, UFC/MMA fights and more on the sports betting docket, there’s no doubt that no matter what type of sports fan you are, there’s something to be found for wagering on at one of the top online sports betting websites reviewed right here. For this Friday, we’re diving into the action set for this evening in Major League Baseball and NFL Football, with 15 games on tap across the MLB, and a pair of interesting exhibition match-ups in the NFL. Taking a jump into the action at one of the best sportsbooks at BetOnline.com, I’m ready to get some wagers in place for all the games ahead tonight.

Starting off with the games in the NFL tonight, catch a fun match-up between the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts as they go head-to-head at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Not surprisingly, the Packers are a 7 1/1 point favorite to win the game tonight, as the Colts will find themselves without the benefit of star QB Peyton Manning who is still recovering from neck surgery. With the Packers likely putting their first-team offense out on the field for at least a half in this game, the Colts will likely struggle to find anything on offense to counterattack with, as their back-up QBs Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky have struggled (and their signing of retired QB Kerry Collins is further indication that neither of these current back-ups are worth keeping around). Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers has looked very sharp, and figures to get even more playing time with a relatively very healthy offense around him. Of note, in last season’s preseason match-up at Lambeau Field between these two, even with Peyton Manning taking snaps the Packers took a 59-24 rout of the Colts. Preseason or not, the Pack is out to win while the Colts tonight don’t look like a good wager even at +315 underdogs at Betonline Sportsbook…considering they come in after a 33-10 loss to the St. Louis Rams last week. Speaking of the Rams, take note of the other NFL preseason game on tap tonight as well, as the St. Louis Rams face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Rams historically have always fared well in the preseason, as they typically have to play new first-team starters more often to get them prepared for the regular season. They look well primed to take advantage of Kansas City’s sputtering preseason offense, which hasn’t yet hit any kind of stride yet.

Switching up the sports betting action to the MLB today, stand-out games for online sports betting includes the AL West showdown between the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels, as Texas has dropped 3 games and Los Angeles has won 6 in a row to put them just 2 games behind the Rangers in 1st place. This weekend’s match-up should be filled with good sports betting opportunities, so check out the lines for this series first and foremost for the game today and through the weekend as well. Watch for the Milwaukee Brewers to pick up their pace in the NL Central with a home series against the Chicago Cubs, the Atlanta Braves seek a continuation of their hot streak against the New York Mets as they work to try and chase down the Philadelphia Phillies in the NL East, who face the Florida Marlins tonight with a good match-up for starter Roy Oswalt against Florida’s Clay Hensley. With 15 games going in the MLB tonight, make sure to take a gander at all the available betting lines at Betonline Sportsbook, or any of the other top sports betting sites reviewed here, and catch plenty of other great wagering options tonight and throughout the weekend.

Boxing Preview: Vitali Klitschko vs. Tomasz Adamek set for Sept. 10th

September 10th, 2011 will be an exciting day in the world of Professional Boxing, as Vitali Klitschko (42-2, 39 KO’s), the #1 ranked World Boxing Council heavyweight champion, faces Tomasz Adamek (44-1, 28 KO’s) in a Polish showdown from Wroclaw Stadium with the winner walking away with the WBC Heavyweight Championship.

While this fight certainly sounds like a strong match-up when viewing records, and taking into consideration that the challenger Adamek is fighting in his home country of Poland behind what will be a staunchly pro-Adamek audience, the more detailed tale of the tape tells a much different story, and one that doesn’t bode well for the G√≥ral (Granite Chin).

Tomasz Adamek comes into the fight giving up almost 8 inches in height to Klitschko (6’2″ vs. 6’8″), and 30 pounds in weight, but perhaps most importantly comes in 5 inches shy in the reach category (80 inches for Klitschko vs. 75 for Adamek). Though Adamek comes off a unanimous decision win over the 6’6″, 285-pound Kevin McBride, the much faster and harder punching Klitschko could spell problems when Tomasz Adamek tries to come into the midsection to make his punches count. One big right hand connection from Vitali Klitschko could see this fight end early, so it’s essential that if Adamek is to overcome in this match-up, he’ll need to stay nimble and be prepared to withstand some crushing blows (which thankfully he’s known for). Not surprisingly however, most boxing writers and analysts give Adamek little chance at taking the crown away at home, coming in as a +400 underdog at Bodog Sportsbook. However, don’t expect to see Adamek roll over in this one, as his drive to capture a title at home is strong, his 6-0 record since moving up into the heavyweight division is no joke for a guy his size, and his strategy for using speed and stamina could pay off in later rounds…the only question being if he will make it that long.

Vitali Klitschko on the other hand certainly earns respect as far as online sports betting goes, commanding an early -600 odds to win at Bodog Sportsbook. In what could potentially be his last bout as a professional boxer, seeing the larger, more exciting brother of the Klitschko family in the ring for the last time is something that shouldn’t be missed, and there really isn’t any question that even at 40 years old Klitschko can stand toe-to-toe with any man in the heavyweight division. In fact his likely decision to retire has more to do with a lack of talent in his weight class, as if anything he’s gotten better as the years roll on, having never been knocked down in his career and has never been behind in a fight (his only loss coming in 2003 to Lennox Lewis, due to a nasty cut in a bout he was leading).

In the conclusion of the WBC Heavyweight bout scheduled for September, 10th, we fully expect to see Vitali Klitschko close out what has been an exciting career with a victory on the Polish fighter’s home turf. Though Adamek is sticking to a philosophy that speed and stamina can prevail against the larger, harder-hitting Ukrainian, the one problem with that thinking is to discount the abilities and stamina Klitschko himself possesses. If there is one fighter who has been consistently in top-form before every match, it is Klitschko, and while Adamek may be called the one with the granite chin, expect Klitschko’s to be just as sturdy, but further out of reach. Before the boxing great Vitali Klitschko moves onward in life behind his Ph.D and political leadership of the Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform Party, get set for a great competition featuring his brawn, not brains, to deliver a final win to cap a storied career in professional boxing.

Top Pitching Match-up Tuesday: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals (67-61) host the Los Angeles Dodgers (58-69) in Game 2 of a 3-game set tonight at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. While the Dodgers likely won’t have a chance of making the playoffs this year, sitting 10.5 games out of 1st place in the NL West and without a quality batting order, they’ll look to further trouble the Cardinals this evening as St. Louis finds itself 9 games out of 1st in the NL Central with the Milwaukee Brewers continuing to pull away.

Trying to pull the St. Louis Cardinals out of a recent funk of 5 losses in 7 outings will be Kyle Lohse (10-7, 3.33 ERA), who looks to building on a solid outing last week consisting of 7 innings with only 2 runs allowed in a 7-2 win at Pittsburgh. He’s 3-0 with a 2.53 ERA in his last 4 starts and pitched well against the Dodgers in his only start against them (7 1/3 innings, 2 runs allowed, 6 strike outs).
Lohse may benefit from Los Angeles’ Clayton Kershaw (15-5, 2.60 ERA) facing one of the only lineups he’s struggled against this season.

Kershaw’s last outing against the Cards resulted in 5 runs allowed over 4 2/3 innings of work in a 9-2 Dodger loss. However, you may consider chalking that up to a fluke performance, as otherwise Kershaw has been one of the only bright spots for the Dodgers this season and has gone 3-1 with a 2.01 record in August, and 7-1 with a 1.33 ERA in his last 8 outings.

Betting Lines for Los Angeles at St. Louis, featured on Bodog Sportsbook (Bodog.eu):

Los Angeles seeks its first back-to- back wins at St. Louis since 2003, while both teams desperately try to climb out of their current tough spells (St. Louis losing 5 of their last 7, LA losing 5 of their last 8). Though St. Louis has more than enough firepower in its lineup with Matt Holliday, Lance Berkman and Albert Pujols providing the boost, Kershaw proves difficult for any lineup, especially one mired in a slump.
Los Angeles is the favorite on odds of -115 due to Kershaw’s presence, while Kyle Lohse and St. Louis are +105 underdogs at home. St. Louis gets 1.5 runs at -155, while Los Angeles gives up 1.5 runs at +135. Judging by last nights’ 2-1 finish, with two even more talented pitchers on the mound tonight we may see a continuation of low scoring, hence the low over/under at 7 runs (under -120, over EVEN money).

Our Pick to Win:

Whenever we’ve bet against Kershaw this season, things seem to not fare well (considering he’s won 15 of his 20 decisions this year, that would make some sense to a normal person). I’m not making the same mistake again, and will look for Kershaw to get redemption from his tough loss against St. Louis earlier in the season.

Players to Watch, Los Angeles:

James Loney, 1B – Loney is hitting .356 in August with 2 homers and 6 RBIs. He comes off a 3-for-4 outing last night and a 4-for-4 outing the day before at Colorado, so look for this guy to be a producer tonight as well.

Matt Kemp, CF – He’s hitting .329 in August with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs, and along with Loney provides the main spark (what there is of one) to Los Angeles’ offense. Though he’s struggled a bit against Lohse (2-for-12 lifetime), he’s hitting very well on the road this season at a .328 clip and is a red-hot .476 (10-for-21) this year against St. Louis.

Players to Watch, St. Louis:

Lance Berkman, RF – The 35 year-old Berkman is having a renaissance year, hitting .290 with 29 home runs and 78 RBIs for the Cards. He’s hitting .316 in August, and is hitting .357 against the Dodgers this year.

Albert Pujols, 1B – Is there a discussion about St. Louis that doesn’t include this guy? I think not, and it’s because he’s continuing his usual tear down the home stretch of the season, hitting .317 in August with 7 homers and 12 RBIs. Though his .289 batting average is down off his career marks (.328) due to a rough start to the season and injury, his 31 homers and 77 RBIs are very impressive considering he’s missed 20 games this year. For this match-up, note that Pujols has gone 7-for-15, for a .467 average.

Major League Baseball Takes Center Stage for Top Sports Betting Action

With another Monday in the books and with it another addition of preseason Monday Night Football, we return to the typical summer week packed with Major League Baseball action on Tuesday, with hopes to bring a tie-breaker for the start of this new week after suffering a couple minor setbacks on Monday’s online sportsbook bets. There is a nice increase in the baseball offerings available on Tuesday, as another make-up game double-header helps to give sports betting fans 16 games to choose from at the top online sportsbooks, and there’s no better place to execute those wagers than at one of the top sports betting sites reviewed here, at the Bodog Sportsbook found at Bodog.eu. Bodog.eu remains as one of the flagship sportsbooks on our site, and personally we’ve have had nothing but great service, great online sports betting opportunities, and quick and easy methods for deposits and payouts since beginning a relationship with this company. That being said, for Tuesday I’m going back to their site in order to check out the best baseball bets on the day, as the season comes down to the final stretch of games, and the Wild Card and Pennant races are now fully in the minds of any team sitting with a shot at the post season.

Starting off the available wagers at the top sportsbook at Bodog Sportsbook, the featured game of the evening once again has to be the Texas Rangers hosting the Boston Red Sox, as Colby Lewis faces Jon Lackey in what should be another favorable game for Texas pitching. Though I put my bets down last night on the wrong side of the aisle in this match-up, I will try to not make the same mistake here, opting to wager on the Rangers to cover the points spread at -1.5 runs at +120 odds. Next up for betting on sports, find the double header between the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners to be worth a look over, especially with Cleveland set up to rebound from last night’s 3-2 loss with Justin Masterson on the mound facing Blake Bevan. Masterson and the Tribe are huge -245 favorites to win, so another worthwhile wager to catch here would feature the under bet on total runs at 7 1/2, as both offenses in this series continue to play small ball, and two good pitchers should help to keep the scoring down today. Further AL options for top sportsbook betting include the Detroit Tigers at Tampa Bay Rays (Brad Penny vs. David Price favors the Rays at home), the Chicago White Sox at Los Angeles Angels (great pitching match-up with Mark Buehrle vs. Ervin Santana), and the New York Yankees at home against the Oakland A’s.

Check out further options in the National League today, as the San Francisco Giants host a series with the San Diego Padres (Game 1 features Matt Cain vs. Mat Latos), the Arizona Diamondbacks looking to get out of a recent slump at Washington with ace Ian Kennedy on the hill, and a solid pitching match-up in St. Louis as Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers battles Kyle Lohse of the Cardinals. There are quite a few good games in store for online sportsbook betting on Major League Baseball tonight, so take a look at some underdogs this evening to potentially cash in on some unlikely wagers. Being a real fan of the game’s intricacies, I really don’t care who’s playing, as long as there is good hitting, good pitching, or both on a given night. I hope that you’ve been able to get to one of our featured online sportsbooks and place a wager or two this evening, as Major League Baseball always makes for exciting and interesting online sports betting action. We’ll catch up with you again tomorrow, and as always, thanks for stopping by our website for sports betting news and reviews of the top sportsbooks on the web.

Online sportsbook betting options center on Monday Night Football, MLB Baseball

It’s a new week packed with new choices for online sports betting at one of the best sportsbooks reviewed here, and as such it’s time to get back to one of the best at Sportsbetting.ag sportsbook and jump on a couple of the top wagering options set up for Monday! Sportsbetting.ag has been one of the few sites that gets top marks for outstanding customer support, easy methods for withdrawals and deposits, and an site security, so if you’re looking for a great place to begin betting on sports, join me today at Sportsbetting.ag, where you certainly won’t be disappointed with what you find. So far, after playing on this site for over the last 3 years, the Sportsbetting.ag sportsbook has been one of the easiest websites to use on a consistent basis, not to mention it’s also been one of the most profitable for me over those years. Call that luck or coincidence, either way Sportsbetting.ag has been, and continues to be a great place to wager for any sporting event available around the globe. With that said, let’s jump into some of the best available options for online sportsbook betting today.

Monday Night Football in any form is a great opportunity for any sports betting enthusiast, and the night’s match-up between the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants should be a good one, with a number of things to look at in this match-up ahead of the regular season. First off is the Bears’ offensive line, which gave up a frightening 56 sacks to opposing defenses last season, including 10 sacks alone to the New York Giants (also yielding a concussion for QB Jay Cutler). Luckily for the Bears tonight, they won’t have to face defensive end Osi Umenyiora, who sits with a knee injury requiring surgery (he recorded 3 of the 10 Giants’ sacks last meeting). This game does figure to be a highly defensive match-up tonight however, but we’ll be watching for both Jay Cutler and Eli Manning to get plenty more playing time tonight on the Monday Night Football stage. Take note that the Bears have a 15-6 record against the Giants all-time in the preseason, including the last three in a row.

Of quick note in Major League Baseball for Monday, there are 10 great opportunities to make good money betting on sports with series shifting for the new week. Check out the highlighted games of the day between the Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers, as well as the Tampa Bay Rays hosting the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers and staff ace Justin Verlander. Over in the National League, check out the double-header between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the league-leading Philadelphia Phillies hosting the New York Mets, and Atlanta Braves looking to keep a firm grip on their NL Wild Card spot with a victory at the Chicago Cubs. It’s exciting times for online sportsbook betting at the featured sportsbooks reviewed here at CasinoReview.org and it’s more than worth your while to head to one of our best online sportsbooks and get in on the action today!

MLB match-up Monday: Boston Red Sox at Texas Rangers

Two of the best teams in baseball start a 4-game series tonight, as the Boston Red Sox (77-49) take on the Texas Rangers (73-55) at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. There will be 7 games between these two potential playoff contenders over the next two weeks, and there’s no doubt that each game will make for a great opportunity for placing wagers at one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here.

Boston comes into tonight’s match-up a half-game back of the New York Yankees in the AL East division, after falling out of first due to two consecutive series losses. Fresh off picking up 3 of 4 games at Kansas City though, the Red Sox will be looking to regain a tie for the lead in the AL East, with a win tonight (the Yankees are off until tomorrow’s series with Oakland).

Texas on the other has lost 2 games in a row heading into tonight’s series with Boston, but still stands at 7-3 in their last ten thanks to a previous 6-game winning streak. The Rangers were simply blown out (and shut out) by Gavin Floyd and the Chicago White Sox last night 10-0, so no doubt they’ll be looking to rebuild confidence against a Boston team they know they can beat, winning their last 10 games in 12 tries against the Red Sox in Texas.

The pitching match-up for tonight should be a good one. C.J. Wilson (12-5, 3.20 ERA) looks to have regained his form after a bit of a rough spell in late July, and has fared well against Boston over his career. He’s 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA in four starts against Boston, and comes into the game on two consecutive road wins (1.38 ERA over those two starts).

Wilson will face Erik Bedard (4-8, 3.44 ERA), who has not won in 7 starts, and is 0-1 in 3 starts since being acquired by Boston from the Seattle Mariners. However, that is not to say he hasn’t pitched well. Bedard has only allowed 5 runs in his 3 starts with Boston, never giving up more than 3 runs in a single game. He’ll need some help to break his unlucky streak with the Red Sox this year, as well as against the Rangers (winless in his last 7 starts against the Rangers). So he’s not won in 7 games all together, not won in his last 7 games against the Rangers…does something have to give here tonight?

Betting lines at Sportsbetting.ag sportsbook for Texas vs. Boston:

With Texas getting -151 odds to win, clearly odds makers aren’t buying much of a chance that Erik Bedard overcomes C.J. Wilson to end his current winning drought. Boston is a +131 underdog to win, so for those who look for Texas to continue slumping at the plate (they’ve dropped their last 3 of 4 while hitting .194 with only 10 runs scored in those 4 games), this may just be a good pick for you.

The over/under stands at 8.5 runs, with EVEN money on the under bet, -120 money on the over. Texas gives up 1.5 runs at +145 odds, while Boston gets 1.5 runs at -165 odds.

Our Pick to Win:

C.J. Wilson has been pitching well, and Erik Bedard has had his struggles against Texas this year, and over his career. The Rangers bats however are the question mark for this match-up, as playing in their hitter-friendly ballpark, they’ll need to step up and provide some offense to match the scoring capabilities of Boston. I like the underdog pick with Boston to win at +131 odds, and look for Bedard to step up, get some run support, and get the monkey off his back with his first win for Boston tonight.

Sunday Night NFL Football: San Diego Chargers at Dallas Cowboys

A great preseason showdown between the high-powered offenses of the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys gets underway, with game time starting at 8:00 PM ET from Cowboys’ Stadium in Arlington, Texas. As both teams come off a disappointing 2010-11 campaign the two sides come into the year again favored to make the playoffs, and although most may view tonight’s match-up as a simple scrimmage, these two powerhouse teams should be playing for pride tonight as well as an opportunity to gauge how well each teams’ starting units fare against some of the best competition in the league. No doubt on the biggest stage in NFL football, you can expect some exciting moments and glimpses of great things to come for this two teams in action tonight.

Betting Lines for San Diego vs. Dallas at Bookmaker.eu:

Dallas gets -125 odds as the favorite to win tonight’s match-up on their home field. Dallas enters the game off an exciting 24-23 victory in Week 1 of the preseason against Denver, with rookie wide receiver Dwayne Harris showing great potential with 127 yards receiving and the games’ final touchdown. Dallas backup QB Steven McGee was also impressive against Denver, throwing 3 TDs on 208 yards passing, and looks to get plenty more work this evening as Dallas starter Tony Romo gets gradually worked back into the Cowboys offense.

The San Diego Chargers on the other hand enter the game as +105 underdogs at Bookmaker Sportsbook, however with their talented first team starters looking to factor more into tonight’s game than their Week 1 loss at home to the Seattle Seahawks, the underdog pick might not be a bad call to make in tonight’s match-up in Texas. Expect Phillip Rivers to be in better form than Tony Romo, as Rivers will have all his offensive weaponry including Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd at his disposal, while Romo may continue to look a little rusty and likely won’t have his #1 target in Miles Austin available for the game tonight (hip strain).

The over/under of 38 1/2 points on tonight’s match-up certainly reflects the offensive firepower that both teams possess. With San Diego missing two key starters in Antoine Cason at cornerback and Jacques Cesaire at defensive end, it will be interesting to see how Dallas counters on offense without their leading receiver and without running backs Tashard Choice and rookie DeMarco Murray available due to injuries. San Diego looks to have more first-team offensive ability at their disposal, and will counter Dallas’ running tandem of Felix Jones and Lonyae Miller with Ryan Mathews and big-man Mike Tolbert

Our Pick to Win:

Expecting a bit of a shootout tonight as two solid QB tandems hit the field, the first team to 24 points should win this game. As was seen in Week 1, it’s a big question mark whether San Diego will play hard all the way through this game, though they certainly seem the better all-around team, and the healthier one, coming into tonight’s match-up. With San Diego’s defense looking well suited to contain a younger set of Dallas starters this evening, we’ll look to San Diego to prevail on the road tonight, eclipsing the over wager on total points, and covering the + 1 1/2 points given on the spread.

MLB, NFL options for sportsbook bets at Bookmaker.eu

Though the weekend has come and gone all too fast, this Sunday provides plenty of opportunities for a little added excitement as betting on sports gets into gear bright and early with 15 games in Major League Baseball starting with early afternoon contests. Also, as we sports fans get just a little bit more excited week by week for the prospects of NFL Football kicking off the regular season in just a few more weeks, we’ll continue to see plenty of NFL exhibition games from Thursday through Monday, giving another dose of fun options for online sports betting. Though we’re still in preseason ball right now, after a great night of 5 games featured for NFL play last night, it’s safe to say our curiosity has been piqued indefinitely, and it’s now one of the best times to check out the roster depth of NFL squads, see the changes in personnel both on and off the field, and start lining up the best teams for the best bets that will undoubtedly be your workhorses throughout the NFL season, while betting on sports. With this also being the first Sunday with NFL action underway as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the New York Jets and the Dallas Cowboys host the San Diego Chargers, no doubt those few options for sports betting will help to bolster the usual slew of Major League Baseball games on tap at the top sportsbooks reviewed here. For today’s action we’re singling out the Bookmaker Sportsbook (at Bookmaker.eu), one of the best online sportsbooks found anywhere, for the first bets of the day taking the under bet at 34 points on the Jets vs. Bengals game as little offense is expected from Cincinnati, and the Jets have yet to show any real muscle on offense as well. I’ll add in a straight up wager on San Diego at +105 for a simple underdog bet, hoping that the combination of Phillip Rivers and Billy Volek at QB can help drive the Chargers over the Cowboys this evening.
Switching over to Major League Baseball today, there are plenty more great online sports betting opportunities to be had at Bookmaker Sportsbook, and great match-ups to watch while hanging out with sports on a quiet Sunday. For starters, we’re sticking with James Shields for Tampa Bay at home against Michael Pineda at the visiting Seattle Mariners. If King Felix can’t get it done down in South Florida against Wade Davis, the rookie Pineda is not likely to fare better against James Shields today. In Detroit, the AL Central clash between the Tigers and the Cleveland Indians continues, and Ubaldo Jimenez may be in a good position to grab a road win against Rick Porcello who has been struggling lately on the mound. Over in the National League, check out the final game of the series between the playoff contending Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves, as Atlanta could very well sweep the Dbacks out of town behind the veteran Tim Hudson today. With Roy Halladay in action for Philadelphia against Washington and their starter Chien-Ming Wang, look out for a good possibility that the Phillies cover the points spread behind their staff ace. Milwaukee can sweep through the New York Mets behind Yovani Gallardo this afternoon and continue running away with the NL Central Division, and for the last decent pick for online sportsbook bets on the MLB, I’ll go with Mike Leake and the Cincinnati Reds over the perpetually tumbling Pittsburgh Pirates.
