World Series Game 2, NHL Hockey Headline Sportsbook Betting Online

It’s another solid day in the world of sports with continuing action in Major League Baseball’s World Series, as Game 2 gets set to take place this evening from St. Louis, after yesterday’s tight 3-2 win for the Cardinals put them one step closer to securing their 11th franchise title, while at the same time keeping Texas’ dreams of getting their first World Championship just a little further out of reach. Nonetheless, in the best-of-seven series taking place over the next week, there’s no doubt we’ll see plenty of fight in the Rangers line-up, and for today, make sure to jump into the online sportsbook betting action for tonight’s Game 2, before the series takes a day to switch back to Arlington, Texas for a 3-game stint at the Rangers home ballpark. In preparation for tonight’s World Series showdown, I’m headed to one of the tried and true top online sports betting sites at the Sportsbook, which features a great website design, all the best betting options you would come to expect from a top sportsbook, and plenty of great bonus opportunities along the way for extended play and depositing. With action beginning with the World Series, carrying over to a grip of NHL Hockey games, and even some added NCAA Football action as a teaser for this upcoming weekend’s glut of College Football games, there’s no doubt you should try out today, one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed by us over the past 5 years, and certainly one of the easiest places to wager of any of the sites we’ve ever tested.

With a tough first pick to make in the MLB World Series Game 2 scheduled for tonight, I’m happily building on a good call in yesterday’s wager, taking St. Louis to come out a winner at home in Game 1. Therefore, with tonight’s game a tougher call between starting pitchers Colby Lewis for Texas and Jaime Garcia for St. Louis, at least I’ll have a little cash stuffed in my back pocket for a more difficult match-up to call this evening.  Again the toughest part about picking the World Series this season is the fact that these two teams haven’t had any history playing one another over the past 7 years, so any young starting pitchers are bound to have little statistical information against opposing batting, leaving you to decide games based much more on a hunch than pure analytics. Nonetheless, my gut for tonight’s game says Texas evens the series on the road, as Colby Lewis has pitched well this postseason while yet to start a game at home (1-1, 3.86 ERA). Jaime Garcia (0-2, 5.74 ERA) comes into tonight’s match-up after a solid home performance against Milwaukee a week ago, but with the Texas bats not getting a hold on Chris Carpenter last night, it’s bound to come around to someone in the Cardinals rotation, and Garcia might be the one to give up some runs early unless he can keep base runners off the bases through the first 4-5 innings. Expecting another tight game but hoping for an extended series, Texas gets the nod to win taking them to cover the 1.5 run spread at +140 odds.

For further action today in online sportsbook betting, it’s the first full day for the NHL, as 11 games are on tap, and the season is starting to pick up pace with some clearly dominant teams making for good choices in the top sportsbooks. I’m riding the Toronto Maple Leafs this week, who have shown they have great scoring prowess early in the NHL seasons of late, and face a slow-starting Stanley Cup Champion in the Boston Bruins this evening on the road.  In further NHL action, I’m following the L.A. Kings against the Phoenix Coyotes, who came off another solid home win Tuesday night against St. Louis 5-0, and now look to take down Phoenix who seem to have lost a big piece of their hockey puzzle without Ilya Bryzgalov in goal. Make sure to also check out top hockey action as the undefeated Washington Capitals face the Philadelphia Flyers in what should be an exciting East Coast match-up tonight, look for the New York Rangers to keep building on a big win in Vancouver for their first of the season as they head to Calgary to meet the Flames, and with the Buffalo Sabres coming out of the gates strong this season, also look at the lines for them on the road against the Florida Panthers at Sportsbook today. Closing out the day for top sports betting at, make sure to look for great opportunities for betting on sports with NCAA Football on tap as well, as a couple of games are set for tonight and tomorrow, with a number of lopsided match-ups sure to deliver some good chances for parlay wagering today. Get geared up for another great weekend packed with Football, Baseball, Hockey and more ahead by visiting one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here, at today!
