Week Wraps Up, Online Sports Betting Begins with Football, Baseball, Hockey and More!

We’re at the end of what has been another very, very long work week, and with its conclusion, comes a bevy of options for online sports betting in the days to come as the weekend gets set to bring us more exciting NCAA Football action for Saturday, 2011 World Series shifts gears to Texas for Game 3 between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers on Saturday evening, and NFL Football kicks off on Sunday with Week 7 action already upon us. For Friday night however, nothing says party-in-a-website like Bodog Sportsbook (Bodog.eu) so for me, I’m looking forward to spending some of my hard-earned cash placing a few bets on sports early, then coming back for more head-to-head action later on in the great and busy poker rooms found on their site. There is a reason that Bodog has come to be one of the most respected and widely-used websites for all things betting. With tons of traffic, there’s always a great table full of competitive poker players, and their sportsbook has been a favorite of mine since the first day I traveled to their website many years ago. For Friday, do yourself a favor, take a trip down to the Bodog Sportsbook, and see firsthand what everyone has been raving about for years.

For the first available action for betting on sports today, make sure to check out the potential NCAA Football match-ups set for this evening, with a rare appearance for a Top 25 team in action on Friday night. The #11 West Virginia Mountaineers (5-1) head into a solid Big East clash with Syracuse (4-2), with their star quarterback Geno Smith going nuts this year to the tune of 2159 yards passing and 16 TDs through just 6 games played. Coming off their bye week, the Mountaineers seek to avenge a loss last season on October 23rd, where they fell to the Orangemen 19-14, so expect WVU to come out swinging early and often with their potent passing offense, ranked 3rd in the FBS. While Syracuse enters this match-up at home as a 14 1/2 point underdog against West Virginia, this should be an exciting match-up simply to watch the Mountaineers offense pick apart the Syracuse secondary, and we expect WVU to pull away and cover the points spread today at -105 odds. For the second match-up of the day, find another Big East meeting as hot-starting Rutgers (5-1) heads to Louisville (2-4) to try and completely drown any postseason hopes the Cardinals had heading into this season. With everything on the line at home however, Louisville comes in at just a slight favorite to win (-1.5 points on the spread at -105 odds), but Rutgers has proven they can be scrappy without any real offensive standouts, surviving with a solid defense that ranks 11th in the country giving up just 16 points a game. No doubt both  these NCAA Football match-ups should make for a fine teaser for the big dose of games set up for Saturday, so head to the top online sportsbook at Bodog.eu to get into the action a day early!

With just four games in the NHL today, it certainly could be worth a few bets on hockey for the evening, with featured contests including a solid Pacific division showdown between the surging Dallas Stars (5-1-0) and the Anaheim Ducks (4-1-0), and the San Jose Sharks (1-3-0) heading to New Jersey (3-1-0) all the while trying to find their groove for the season against the Devils. Get further bets lined up for upcoming action in CFL Football tonight as both the Edmonton Eskimos and the Calgary Roughriders play this evening (against Toronto and Saskatchewan respectively) and continue to duel in a 3-way showdown for the West Division title with the division-leading B.C. Lions. I hope you’ll check out the Bodog Sportsbook today to find all of Friday’s online sports betting action, as it truly is worthy of being one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed on our site. As always, enjoy the sports action, thanks for stopping by, and catch us again soon for more sportsbook betting updates as the weekend unfolds!
