Midweek Online Sports Betting at Bodog Sportsbook

Though the middle of the week comes with a bit of unfortunate news for online sports fans as Game 6 of the 2011 Major League Baseball World Series has been postponed and as such all bets are off for what could be a decisive game in St. Louis, luckily for us sports fans the top online sportsbooks reviewed here have plenty of other wagering options for Wednesday, with action in NCAA Football as Connecticut and Pittsburgh clash in a Big East meeting, a couple of games set for NHL Hockey competition tonight, and some available wagers for the upcoming UFC 137 scheduled for this Saturday at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. With only 4 sporting events scheduled today for the main sports in action this time of year, make sure to catch a few wagers at the best online sportsbook at Bodog.eu today, try your hand at their excellent casino and poker rooms, and even prepare for future wagers with upcoming events in football featuring Canadian Football league action and as usual, NFL Football Sunday coming up just around the corner. While it’s a light day for sports, there’s always good sportsbook betting excitement to be had at Bodog Sportsbook, no matter how many options you have to choose from in a given day.

Checking out the featured NCAA Football match-up for Wednesday evening, a couple of decent, not great teams get set to square off in Big East Conference football tonight, as the UConn Huskies take on the Pittsburgh Panthers. Despite losing 4 of their last 5 games and going 1-for-3 in their last 3 home appearances, Pitt comes into this match-up as a pretty heavily 10 point favorite to win on the spread, while securing -380 odds on the money line. Pittsburgh has had a tough schedule this season early, losing very close games to Iowa and Notre Dame, but they’ve also struggled against Rutgers, and come into this match-up fresh off a tough home loss to the Utah Utes on October, 15th. While I’m not one to trust a Tino Sunseri-led Panthers offense, which is prone to giveaways and interceptions, the lack of offensive production for the Huskies is a turn-off (ranking 88th in the FBS in passing, 94th in rushing and scoring offense) especially on the road where the Panthers manhandled South Florida 44-17 a few weeks back in a flash of offensive competency. Despite UConn’s inability to score well in road games, I like them to help push the points total in this game to clip the 42 point over/under, and my first wager on Wednesday at Bodog Sportsbook will take the -105 odds on the over bet today.

Moving along to action on the ice, NHL Hockey fires up 3 games for a brief session of the fastest game around, with most games being relatively lopsided competitions tonight. The Philadelphia Flyers hit the road against Montreal tonight, with the Canadiens struggling to pull off just one win vs. 5 losses and two overtime defeats this season, in their worst start to a season in 70 years. While Philadelphia will be without big-man Chris Pronger for this game, they’ve also dominated Montreal lately, winning three straight and 9-of-12 against the Habs, who will simply have to find better offensive production against Ilya Bryzgalov in goal tonight, who hasn’t won against them yet in his career (0-2-1). That could very easily change this evening especially with Montreal’s Max Pacioretty possibly out (their leading scorer), so I’m looking to pick up some cash betting with the Flyers to prevail on the road tonight. Catch another good match-up this time favoring the home team as the Vancouver Canucks try to find their groove against the St. Louis Blues, with many eyes on Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo, who has started the season off very slow (2-3-1, 3.46 GAA). However, it’s another chance for a turnaround for both Vancouver and Luongo, asĀ  #1 in goal has a 7-2-0 lifetime record against St. Louis at home, with a 1.88 goals against average. Lastly, catch the Colorado Avalanche looking to stay hot and undefeated on the road as they take on the Calgary Flames at the Saddledome, and could find paydirt as the Flames have been almost unable to provide any offense of late (6 goals in 4 games). However, Miikka Kiprisoff, the Flames goaltender, has been perfect over 6 starts against Colorado, and could help the Flames turn around their misfortunes in front of a sea of red in Calgary tonight. Any way you wager on tonight’s games and games into the future, make sure to try out one of the best online sportsbooks like the one at Bodog.eu, to make certain that your hard-earned money is going into a secure spot, and will come back out whenever you need it. Good luck in wagers tonight and in the days ahead with more World Series Baseball and NCAA Football to come, and we’ll catch up with you again soon.
