Super Bowl Hangover Begins, Back Into Sportsbook Betting with NBA, NCAA Hoops

After another fantastic Super Bowl weekend has come and gone with the New York Giants getting the better of the New England Patriots for the second time (and me ever-so-happily rejoicing in a well-picked outcome for the game), it’s time to bid a fond farewell to yet another great and memorable season of NFL football, and look ahead to continuing online sports betting action on a brand new Monday! For today, the top online sports betting websites featured here will be hosting a small handful of games to wager on, starting off with NBA basketball which hosts 10 games to get your betting going today. For Monday, we take another visit to one of the newer members of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here, at the Betonline Sportsbook Betonline Sportsbook. A fairly recent addition to our fleet of the top sportsbooks we’ve found on the web perhaps, but nonetheless a rock-solid, very easy to use website that we’ve come to know over the past few years here at CR. has stepped up their game, improving marks for customer service, ease of deposits and withdrawals as well as bonus opportunities, and struck our collective fancies with a clean and simple interface, easy betting options, and competitive betting lines. We’ve been a fan of sports betting on this website for the entirety of the NFL season, so moving into the next chapter of the sports calendar, we happily will be placing our wagers at Betonline Sportsbook on a weekly basis.

To start off the wagers for Monday, NBA basketball has a number of great games in store, starting first and foremost with two east coast showdowns featuring Los Angeles teams, as the Los Angeles Lakers head into a tough match-up against the stingy defense and outstanding home form of the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Los Angeles Clippers head down to Florida to take on Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Neither L.A. team has been particularly good on the road this year, with the Lakers sitting at 3-8 away from Staples Center and the Clippers not much better at 4-4, however between these two contests one has to give the edge to Lob City as having the best chance at victory on the road, as even though Orlando rides a 3-game winning streak coming off a tough stretch of basketball, the Lakers continue to look completely punch-less in the face of teams with better than .500 records on the road. Failing to put up strong scoring efforts on the road (the Lakers average just 91.2 points away from home), and constantly putting too much reliance on Kobe Bryant, the Sixers’ top-rated scoring defense should be able to contain the Lakers, and gain a 13th home win on the season to stay well on top of the Atlantic division tonight. For the Clippers, who are coming in 7-3 in their last 10 games and playing some of the most exciting basketball in the NBA with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul creating highlight reels each and every night, they’ll seek to break a 9-game losing skid to the Magic, and must hold the Magic to under 95 points (they are 11-0 in games where opponents score less than that figure) to hopefully secure a win. With the Magic’s longest winning streak against any team, and the Clippers longest losing streak against any team on the line, I like the chances for the new-look Clippers to scrap out a win and cover the close -1 points against the spread as slight favorites today. Make sure to check out plenty of other top NBA match-ups in store for Monday, as the Utah Jazz take on the New York Knicks, San Antonio clashes in a rematch with the Memphis Grizzlies, the high-powered Denver Nuggets take on the Houston Rockets, and the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare for a tough road battle against the Portland Trail Blazers.

For College Hoops tonight, fans have a couple of exciting match-ups for a Monday evening, with #4 Missouri heading into a road match-up against the Oklahoma Sooners in a Big 12 clash. With Missouri suffering 1 of their 2 losses on the year in Oklahoma (the most recent on Jan. 25th to the Ok. State Cowboys), the Sooners could pose a possible upset challenge for the Tigers, making this a fun and interesting game to get involved with. While I like Mizzou to pull through with a win, Oklahoma could make for a solid wager against the spread, set at +5 points (-110 odds). Check out the other top match-up in College hoops tonight as the UConn Huskies head into battle against the #25 Louisville Cardinals, and also the #15 Marquette Golden Eagles trying to bounce back against DePaul after getting crushed by Notre Dame over the weekend. With a further 3 games in the NHL tonight for good choices on your sports betting tickets today, check out a couple options as the Detroit Red Wings pay a visit to the Phoenix Coyotes, Calgary travels to face the Anaheim Ducks, who have been playing better of late but need a win at home to snap a 2-game skid, and Edmonton looks for a 4th straight win but will get a challenge in Toronto against the high-scoring Maple Leafs. All-in-all its a solid day for betting on sports to make for a decent hangover from Super Bowl XLVI, and with bets at Betonline sportsbook, you can be sure your wagering today goes smoothly and quickly with the confidence of betting at one of the top sportsbooks reviewed on our website!
