NBA Basketball, NHL Hockey Action Leads Sportsbook Bets at Bookmaker

As we move closer to this weekend’s NBA All-Star break, the next three days will see plenty of focus on the remaining games set for NBA Basketball, before we take time off from the blistering pace of the lockout-shortened season with a 4-day hiatus. While there’s always plenty of excitement around the All-Star game and the fan-fare of the slam dunk contest, the rookie-sophomore game and other festivities going on throughout next week, as there’s only 22 games remaining this week before most betting lines go dark for the NBA, now is the perfect time to jump head first into each of the match-ups on tap for the next three days, and spot the best bets at one of the best online sportsbooks reviewed here. For today’s top online sportsbook, we’re heading to the Bookmaker Sportsbook, a long-standing go-to sports betting destination for our staff here at CR. With one of the best laid out designs in the industry, a reputation as an industry leader since 1996, and solid customer support when you need it, check out Bookmaker Sportsbook as a quality institution to place your wagers at today.

With a short list of 5 games set for NBA Basketball tonight, I’m looking to take a piece of all the contests around the U.S. today, starting with the best-looking pair of games first featuring the Memphis Grizzlies vs. the Philadelphia 76ers, and second the match-up in the Pacific Northwest between the Portland Trail Blazers and the visiting San Antonio Spurs. The Philadelphia 76ers have been struggling mightily to find their once solid shooting form, and facing a possible 4th straight loss tonight on the road at Memphis, step-up shooting is a must for Andre Iguodala and the Sixers’ scorers. Memphis on the other hand comes off their first loss after a 4-game winning streak and victories in 6 of their last 7 games, and could pose a big challenge for the Sixers on their home court tonight. Getting a different leading scorer almost every night has shown Memphis’ depth, and with their big men likely to give Philadelphia trouble inside in tonight’s game, I like the Grizzlies to be a good pick with even money on the money line, or with the +1 1/2 points as a slight underdog on their home court.

For the second of the two top match-ups in NBA hoops today, Portland will face a stiff challenge on their home court taking on the San Antonio Spurs, a team that has ripped off 11 straight victories. Despite not having their leading scorer Manu Ginobli in action, the Spurs have dominated mainly on the road during their league-leading winning streak, emerging victorious in 8 straight games away from home. However, they’ll have to overcome a poor run of form at Portland, where they’ve lost 6 straight games for their longest skid on the road against any league opponent. Tonight though, I look for the Spurs to change that history, as Portland has dropped 4 of 5 at home recently, and San Antonio is playing it’s best ball of the season behind its veterans Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. Make sure to catch the action on the remaining 3 games set for NBA Basketball on Tuesday night, as despite not being the best of match-ups, there’s still money to be made on a mismatch! Check out Miami vs. Sacramento in a fast-paced game that should challenge the over/under mark set at 202 1/2 points, look for the Indiana Pacers to get their 3rd straight win in a row over the struggling New Orleans Hornets, and in Cleveland I’ll take the home side Cavaliers to cover 1 1/2 points and subsequently nab a win over the visiting Detroit Pistons.

Moving over to a full plate of games slated for NHL hockey this evening, there’s a number of quality match-ups set up across the 11 available contests. Moving from East to West, first check out a great pairing between the New Jersey Devils and the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the Leafs try to keep the Devils from their 4th straight win while at the same time holding on to their 8th seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Next up, find a great battle between the New York Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, which I’m banking on the Rangers to prevail in as their solid road form and excellent defensive efforts make the difference in the game. Moving along to the Original Six showdown of the evening, the Detroit Red Wings hit the road with their 6-game winning streak, but will have to take on the Chicago Blackhawks, who have finally pulled out of their crushing 9-game losing skid by winning 3 in a row. Expect an outstanding battle in this classic pairing to be well worth a wager at Bookmaker Sportsbook. With a couple more solid pairings for NHL hockey action on Tuesday, check out the betting lines for the games between the Vancouver Canucks and the Nashville Predators, as well as the Philadelphia Flyers versus the Winnipeg Jets. With just over 20 games remaining on the regular season and the playoff race heating up, bets on NHL hockey are one of the most exciting ways to get into the online sports betting fun at one of the top online sportsbooks today, so jump into the action on these games, as well as those taking place in the NBA tonight, and hopefully come out a winner on Tuesday night!
